Plant-wide Dust Extraction System for a Ningbo Fire Equipment Foundry

Release Date:

Jun 08,2026

Client Name: A Ningbo-based fire-fighting equipment casting company

Products & Application Scenarios: Bag-type dust collectors, wet dust collectors; processes include furnace melting, casting, and shot blasting.

Project Timeline: April 2020 – July 2020 (90 days)

Client Background and Requirements:

The client is a renowned domestic manufacturer of fire-fighting equipment, with products primarily sold in the North American market, where it holds a significant market share. Due to a surge in sales volume that outpaced existing production capacity, the company constructed new production facilities. The project addressed needs associated with furnace melting, casting, and shot blasting processes.
Client Requirements: The melting of copper ingots and recycled scrap in medium-frequency furnaces, as well as the subsequent casting processes, generate substantial amounts of smoke and dust. This reduces visibility within the plant, creates an uncomfortable working environment, and adversely affects employee health and well-being. Prioritizing employee health and operational efficiency, company leadership proposed a centralized treatment system for fumes and dust generated by the medium-frequency furnaces and sand casting operations. The collection system was required to ensure that workplace hygiene and environmental conditions met both national and corporate standards, achieved an advanced level within the domestic industry, and complied with emission regulations.

Service Process & Why Choose Us:

Based on the specific conditions of the workshop—where furnace emissions are characterized by high volumes, fine particle sizes (making wet dust removal ineffective), high temperatures, and the presence of sparks—we employ a combined system featuring a spark pre-separator and a high-temperature bag filter. The spark pre-separator is installed upstream of the bag filter to remove sparks while simultaneously lowering the gas temperature.

Our Advantages:

• Strict adherence to national and local environmental regulations and emission standards, ensuring that the treated exhaust air meets or exceeds these requirements.
• Utilization of advanced, rational, proven, and reliable treatment processes that deliver significant environmental, social, and economic benefits.
• Process design and equipment selection that offer substantial operational flexibility and adjustability, guaranteeing compliance with emission standards.
• Purification equipment designed for ease of operation, management, and maintenance, while minimizing energy consumption and operating costs.

Customer Feedback:
• The environmental protection equipment operates stably; the airflow volume is appropriate, and the flue gas capture rate exceeds 90%.
• Consumables (such as filter cartridges) are replaced promptly; the service is excellent, and response times are fast.
• Prices are reasonable, and equipment quality is high; we look forward to long-term cooperation.
• Comprehensive training materials are provided, covering operating instructions, troubleshooting for common issues, equipment maintenance and repair, spare parts, and more.
