I. Working Principle of Wet Dust Collectors
A wet dust collector, also known as a water dust collector, is a device that removes dust through the interaction between water and dust particles. Its basic principle involves bringing dust-laden gas into close contact with a liquid (usually water) to separate dust particles from the gas through mechanisms such as inertial collision between water droplets and particles, adsorption, or the mixing of water and dust.
The operating process of a wet dust collector typically includes the following steps:
1. Gas Inlet: Dust-laden gas first enters the wet dust collector through the inlet.
2. Swirl and Spraying: Once the gas enters the swirl chamber, the high-speed, vortex-like airflow ensures effective contact between dust particles and liquid water. At the same time, water mist or a water film sprayed by the spraying device further enhances contact between dust particles and water molecules.
3. Dust Sedimentation: Through mechanisms such as inertial collision and adsorption, dust particles combine with water molecules to form larger particles, which then settle into the dust collection tank.
4. Gas Discharge: The gas, having undergone dust removal treatment, is discharged through the exhaust port, meeting environmental emission standards.
II. Advantages of Wet Scrubbers
1. Effective Dust Removal: Wet scrubbers operate in a humid environment, where dust particles have a large surface area in contact with water molecules, making them easier to settle and resulting in effective dust removal.
2. High Safety: Wet scrubbers do not generate sparks or high temperatures during the dust removal process, thereby eliminating safety hazards such as fires and explosions.
3. Wide Adaptability: Wet dust collectors are suitable for removing various types of dust particles and are particularly effective at controlling fine dust and hazardous gases.
